Welcome to Padmasambhava Buddhist Center

Padmasambhava Buddhist Center (PBC) was established in 1989 by Venerable Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche (1938-2010) and Venerable Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche to preserve the authentic message of Buddha Shakyamuni and Guru Padmasambhava in its entirety and to bring the teachings to the West. PBC is based on the traditions of the Nyingma school and Vajrayana Buddhism and includes centers in New York, Tennessee, Florida, Puerto Rico, as well as monastic institutions in the U.S. and India,

Our New York location, called Padma Samye Ling (PSL) Meditation and Retreat Center, is located in the Catskill Mountains and was established in 1993 as a place where students receive teachings, study, contemplate, and meditate on the Buddhadharma. The vision of PBC is to strengthen the teachings and encourage peace, love, and compassion.
