Please Support the Victims of the Flash Flood in Nepal and Tibet With Your Prayers and Generosity
Dear Sangha Members and Friends,
As you have no doubt heard, on August 26, 2026 a catastrophic flash flood caused by a glacial collapse struck the Tibet-Nepal border region with devastating effects. Over a thousand people were killed, with over 4,000 people still missing. At least 65,000 people have been directly affected, including over 22,000 children. Entire communities were cut off after roads, bridges, and homes were instantly swept away.
Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche and the Padmasambhava Buddhist Center are requesting your support. In terms of practice, please do extra practices of Guru Padmasambhava, Tara, Amitayus, Amitabha, Akshobhya, and the mantra of Avalokiteshvara.

Please pray for the people of Nepal and Tibet, as well as so many other beings and situations in this world. Wish and pray that natural disasters like this will never happen again, that all the elements will be perfectly balanced, and that there will be peace and harmony among people and throughout the world.
PBC is taking up a collection to help the communities and victims affected by this natural disaster with relief. We are arranging for all of the funds to be distributed directly to communities in the region so that they receive 100% of your generous donation.
We will inform all of the donors exactly how their contributions were used to support the lives of those affected by this natural disaster.

Padmasambhava Buddhist Center
The Padmasambhava Buddhist Center (PBC) spreads the teachings of the Buddha and Guru Rinpoche according to the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. The center was established in New York in 1989 by Ven. Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche and Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche.
