The 2025 Discovering Dzogchen Youth Retreat at Padma Samye Ling from June 14-21, 2025 was extraordinarily special. Everyone participating repeatedly echoed this deep sentiment.
For a week over 30 people learned Buddhist meditation practices, received teachings with active conversation and exploration, enjoyed silence and Dharma book reading, practiced yoga and Qi Gong, camped, took walks, made food together, and celebrated the beauty of deep community among strangers who quickly became Sangha.
The sequential exploration of Foundational, Sutra, Tantra, and Dzogchen teachings crescendoed with a puja in celebration of the life and legacy of Ven. Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche, as well as an extended Question and Answer session with Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche that overflowed with some of the richest, deepest, more heartfelt Dharma questions.
