Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche will teach from the text by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, Extracting the Quintessence of Accomplishment: Oral Instructions for the Practice of Mountain Retreat, Expounded Simply and Directly in Their Essential Nakedness.
September 29-30, 2017
Friday 7-9 pm
Saturday 10am-Noon and 3-5pm
(Q&A w/ Lama Jomo Lorraine, Saturday 2:00-2:45pm)
Orgyen Dorje Den is pleased to welcome Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche who will be teaching from the short, potent text composed by HH Dudjom Rinpoche’s Mountain Retreat Instructions entitled, Extracting the Quintessence of Accomplishment: Oral Instructions for the Practice of Mountain Retreat, Expounded Simply and Directly in Their Essential Nakedness. This text basically lays out the foundation and practice of the Dzogchen view and provides methods for us to recognize and sustain it, whether we are in a “mountain retreat,” or in our everyday lives doing our daily practice.
Over the course of 3 sessions, Khenpo Rinpoche will teach from the text and give the reading transmission which passes on the blessings of the Dudjom Lineage to further enhance our study and connect us to the practice.
Lama Jomo Lorraine, a long time devoted student of HH Dudjom Rinpoche and the Khenpo Rinpoches, will lead a Q&A session on Saturday during the afternoon break between Khenpo Rinpoche’s teachings. This will be a good chance for discussion and dialogue.
