Public Talk: “What It Means to Be a Lay Buddhist” at Tashi Choling in Oregon by Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche

September 21, 2014 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Public Talk: “What it Means to be a Lay Buddhist”by Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche
Sunday morning, September 21st
9:30am-noon
Recently, Ven. Gyatrul Rinpoche has encouraged his students to learn about the rules of discipline for lay practitioners. He says: “The real Dharma clothing that you must always wear is the Vinaya, the rules of discipline. I am not saying you must become a monk or nun. Discipline means you must understand what to accept and what to reject, what harms others and what benefits them, what harms yourself and what benefits you. If we don’t understand these points, then we will not receive any benefit from our Mahayana or Secret Mantra trainings.”
