Join Lama Lorraine for a beautiful Nyungne Retreat Weekend at PBDC!!!The living lineage of Nyungne began in India by Jomo Gelongma Palmo, one of the most famous female masters in Buddhist history. It came to Tibet around the 12th century, and the practice continues to flourish today. It is a profound and powerful practice of silence, fasting and purification.
The Nyungne retreat is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation practice based on the Buddha of Compassion known as the Thousand-Armed Chenrezig. It designed to purify negative karma and accumulate merit and wisdom by continuously mingling (1) the mind with compassion, (2) the speech with mantra, and (3) the body with perfect morality. In this way, we will purify and heal ourselves and others.
The retreat begins on Saturday, November 8th and concludes on Monday morning, November 10th after a celebratory final practice and breakfast. As always, you may come to all or a part of the retreat, as your schedule allows.
