MANJUSHRI AND SARASVATI EMPOWERMENT AND TEACHINGSBY VENERABLE KHENPO TSEWANG DONGYAL RINPOCHE
Manjushri is the embodiment of the primordial wisdom of all the buddhas, emanating in countless forms for the benefit of all sentient beings. Those who receive empowerment and teaching of Manjushri will dispel ignorance with continuous bursts of wisdom and compassion, and awaken to their innate Buddha wisdom. In each of the nine yanas, the Buddha gave instructions regarding this great being.
Vajra Sarasvati is an enlightened being who appears solely to benefit beings. On the level of wisdom, Sarasvati and Manjushri are the same. She is often connected with beauty, art, and music that appears to dispel ignorance. On the dharmakaya level, she is Mother Prajnaparamita or Samantabhadri; on the sambhogakaya level, she has many emanations as the five buddha families; and on the nirmanakaya level, she is the twenty-one emanations of Tara. In Tibet, she emanated as Yeshe Tsogyal and Machik Labdron. The emanations of Vajra Sarasvati are inconceivable, manifesting in infinite ways to benefit beings.
In particular, Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche will teach on the sadhana of Manjushri and Sarasvati called “Dispelling the Darkness of Ignorance,” revealed by the great terton Raga Asye.
On February 10th, Khenpo Rinpoche will also lead a special practice in honor of the anniversary of Longchenpa’s mahaparinirvana.
