The Anniversary of the Buddha’s Descent from the Gods Realm
In November 2013, students of the Venerable Khenpo Rinpoches are gathering from around the world in the holy land of Sarnath, India where the Buddha first turned the Wheel of Dharma to celebrate the inauguration of the Many Doors of Auspiciousness Stupa Memorial in honor and memory of our precious teacher, the great scholar and master Venerable Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche.
The Stupa Memorial at Orgyen Samye Ch̦khor Ling Nunnery will be consecrated and dedicated by Venerable Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche and the PBC monks and nuns on November 24, 2013, the anniversary of the Buddha’s Descent from the Gods Realm, Lha Bab Duchen
You may also join in the incredible merit and auspiciousness of completing the Sarnath Stupa Memorial by sponsoring the ceremonies! The consecration ceremonies on Lha Bab Duchen will include extensive offerings to the Nine Tatagatha Reliquary Stupas of Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche, an elaborate tsok offering, thousands of light offerings, gifts for honorable guests, and food offerings for the gathered sangha, and sangha dana donations to the PBC nuns and monks. All meritorious activities on this day are said to be multiplied by 10 million times!
