According to the Buddha‰۪s teachings, the Peaceful and Wrathful Deities are inherent structures of one‰۪s own vajra body. Receiving this empowerment reactivates our connection to our own enlightened qualities, creating a special link to understanding the process of dying and the special moment of death, as well as the after-death bardo experience. This empowerment and teaching is famous throughout the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism.
The Guhyagarbha Tantra covers all of the foundations of Tibetan Buddhism. Known as the Illusory Magical Net of the Indestructible Courageous Ones, it was taught by Buddha Shakyamuni in the form of Buddha Vajradhara. It is considered to be the supreme tantra among all of the Buddhist tantras, containing the essence of all pith instructions. The Guhyagarbha Tantra is the source of all of the yanas and the root of all tantras. During this retreat, the Venerable Khenpo Rinpoches will give an overview of this teaching according to the great master Mipham Rinpoche, with a transmission of the Guhyagarbha Tantra.
