Longchenpa taught that the entire conduct of a bodhisattva can be summarized into the two aspects of aspirational and actualizing bodhichitta. The first of these aspirational bodhichitta is based upon the Four Boundless or the Four Immeasurables: immeasurable love, compassion, joy, and equanimity. Because sentient beings are as limitless as space, our practice of these four virtues must also be boundless.
Recorded at Padma Samye Ling, 2004.
