After living for 211 years, Yeshe Tsogyal ascended into the sky leaving no body behind. Immediately she re-emanated as Machig Labdron who was born on the anniversary of Lord Buddha’s enlightenment. Machig Labdron was the principle disciple of Padampa Sangye. Toward the end of the tenth century in Tibet Machig Labdron restrengthened and popularized a Buddhist practice known as chod which comes from the Prajnaparamita and Vajrayana teachings that were taught by Lord Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava. Chod is a practice that removes suffering instantly by targeting a practitioner’s most sensitive delusions and immediately cutting through all types of attachment and ego-clinging with any hesitation hope or fear. The Ven. Khenpo Rinpoches give a brief teaching on chod and then perform the practice in Tibetan according to a terma of Tsasum Lingpa. This DVD is only 17 minutes long. Special edition DVD recorded at Padma Samye Ling July 2005.
Must have transmission of Tsasum Lingpa’s chod practice according to his cycle of teachings known as The Great Compassionate One.
