“We want to benefit all living beings—that’s why we want to purify our obscurations. Right now, we know that we don’t have the capability to help all beings very much. Even though we want to, we can’t. What’s blocking and preventing us? Our obscurations. That’s why we’re asking for the blessing of purification, saying, “Vajrasattva, will you please purify this?”
In addition, we practice Guru Yoga, again inviting the blessings of enlightened beings. We sincerely wish, “I’d like to benefit all beings, so I’m practicing on Guru Padmasambhava with strong devotion in order to become exactly like him and all the buddhas.”
