“According to the system of the Tantra Mahayana, or Vajrayana teachings, the phenomena of samsara and the phenomena beyond samsara both have the same nature, without any exception. In other words, we can briefly say that the Vajrayana view sees that both samsara and nirvana are inseparable in the body mandala, speech mandala, and wisdom mind mandala of the Buddha without any distinctions or divisions. Within these three mandalas, both samsara and nirvana are already enlightened or already divine. They’re already this way. This isn’t something that’s developed through our practice or through our path right now. Everything is already in this state. This is the essential, condensed teaching of the Inner Tantras: everything is already within this enlightened state. This is what we have to practice and realize through our meditation.”
