We are very sad to report that as a result of the powerful earthquake in the eastern Tibetan town of Kyegu, more than 2,000 people have died, with totals rising to an estimated 10,000. The earthquake hit in the early morning of April 14, 2010, destroying more than 85 percent of the houses and leaving many survivors without food or water.
We are requesting the international PBC sangha to include extra practice on Chenrezig, Vajrasattva and Amitabha on behalf of the people of Kyegu.
We have been in contact with several relatives and friends from the area and have set up the Kyegu Earthquake Relief Fund to send immediate support to those affected by the disaster.
You may make an online donation directly to the Kyegu Earthquake Relief Fund
Or send a check or money order payable to “PBC” to:
Padma Samye Ling
ATTN: Kyegu Earthquake Relief Fund

All proceeds from Chiso Shop purchases for the months of April and May 2010 will go directly to the relief fund as well.
With appreciation, yours in the Dharma,
